It does all basic checks, removes SUID from the file, updates 10 modification times and calls proper subroutines depending on whether we 11 do direct IO or a standard buffered write. 12 </p><p> 13 14 It expects i_mutex to be grabbed unless we work on a block device or similar 15 object which does not need locking at all. 16 </p><p> 17 18 This function does *not* take care of syncing data in case of O_SYNC write. 19 A caller has to handle it. This is mainly due to the fact that we want to 20 avoid syncing under i_mutex. 21</p></div></div><div class="navfooter"><hr><table width="100%" summary="Navigation footer"><tr><td width="40%" align="left"><a accesskey="p" href="API-read-cache-page-gfp.html">Prev</a> </td><td width="20%" align="center"><a accesskey="u" href="ch04s03.html">Up</a></td><td width="40%" align="right"> <a accesskey="n" href="API-generic-file-write-iter.html">Next</a></td></tr><tr><td width="40%" align="left" valign="top"><span class="phrase">read_cache_page_gfp</span> </td><td width="20%" align="center"><a accesskey="h" href="index.html">Home</a></td><td width="40%" align="right" valign="top"> <span class="phrase">generic_file_write_iter</span></td></tr></table></div></body></html> 22
