The port that 16 <code class="function">attach</code> is given will be valid for the duration of the 17 callback, but if the driver wants to take a copy of the 18 pointer it must call <code class="function">parport_get_port</code> to do so. Calling 19 <code class="function">parport_register_device</code> on that port will do this for you. 20 </p><p> 21 22 The driver's <code class="function">detach</code> function may block.
